Stryker Sustainability Solutions provides an Open/Unused/Expired re-sterilization service to further assist hospital and surgery center partners with inventory management and supply cost containment; especially in areas such as Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures, where a variety of devices must be kept on hand at all times. In most cases, these devices expire over time and are discarded, forcing hospitals to continuously purchase expensive devices that sit on their shelves. Stryker offers a safe and effective way to reduce costs, and waste, by re-sterilizing and repackaging devices that have not been used due to date expiration, case cancellation and other situations where the sterility of the device is in question or has been compromised.
